What's the difference between being Christian and being a "good" person? Is there a difference? Aren't Christians supposed to be "good" people? As we hear the final chapter in Jonah's story, we're confronted with God's scandalous grace - even for, especially for, the "bad" people. Jonah is not happy with God's decision to be gracious and merciful to the people of Nineveh. They have repented from their evil ways, but Jonah still thinks they deserve punishment. Jonah's reaction to God's grace holds up a mirror on our own lives. Do we ever act like Jonah? Do we struggle with God's grace ourselves? Or do we struggle with extending it to others?
