The question everyone is asking is what will fulfill me? But the real question should be, not what, but who? The tomb’s empty, the promises aren’t - Christ Lives! In this sermon we compare the similarities between the inner sanctum of the Holy of Holies & the Ark of the Covenant with Christ’s tomb & resurrection.

In Christ we are made new, however, that is not an easy road. We must first learn how to die, since every resurrection is preceded by a death. Then we must learn how to rise, then finally how to fly. Join us in exploring what the Cross means to us once again on this Easter Sunday!

On Resurrection Sunday, Jason brought a special message that focused on the meaningfulness of Easter. Starting with Mary Magdalene finding the empty tomb and the question that confronted her, “whom are you seeking?” we are asked to examine this question for ourselves. Are we seeking a good teacher who brings important societal change? If so, our human nature will always undermine these good intentions and principles. Mary and the disciples were confronted with the empty tomb and had to grapple with the question of whether Jesus was the man they thought he was or if he was something greater: Someone who came not just to bring change and lift them out of the obscurity and hopelessness of their social condition but actually bring the reconciliation power to enable them to live in the new kingdom. He not only opened their eyes to a more enlightened way of living and of seeing themselves and their self-worth, but also brought salvation to empower them to live to the full potential of their new understanding!
