We have more than we need to participate in God’s global heart for reaching the nations. Sometimes we just need a reminder, a healthy challenge, and some simple steps to take.

From Genesis 3 to the end of Revelations it’s a story of God’s burning desire to get his family back. Today we summarize what we’ve learned thus far in Romans & other places. Paul brings us back to the simple Gospel and our call to reach the nations with it. Are we just standing ankle deep in the waters of Scripture or diving headlong into the Gospel calling when we hear it? Are we taken with the calling of God for those whom have been taken from Him?

Insecurity, self-pity & immaturity derail the faith community from Her central calling of expanding God’s kingdom reign among all people groups. Sometimes we need to operate in community with one blind eye & one deaf ear. Overlooking some things, not listening too attentively to others - letting some things go since someone just needs to grow up as they grow old. Instead we disciple them through their issues placing our own pleasures in subordination to the greater calling of the Church and seeking peace & unity for it.

How do we gain wisdom & practice it in obedience to God’s call on our lives is the ultimate New Years Resolution.

Let us walk in the Magian way. Let us give up our search in all other things. Let us follow the light God gives us in Jesus. Let us confirm our steps by His Word. Let us listen & obey God without question & He will lead us each step of the way to worship Jesus & find hope in a world which looks for it in all the wrong ways. Let us find Jesus, find hope, bear our gifts & go home another way, His way. The way of hope, which leads to everlasting life & reconciliation with the father.

Today we explore living in communal tension, where we need to ask ourselves three questions concerning our thoughts & behaviors, as well as our regard of others thoughts & behaviors. Those are: am I convinced, am I doing this unto the Lord, and will it stand the test of the judgment seat? We will see it’s better to keep our opinions to ourselves, or voice them knowing we could be wrong, or someone may not agree & that’s okay. And that we only speak with loving boldness & sensitivity only on primary Gospel convictions & destructive sin issues. We need to guard not only our personal witness, but also our corporate witness to the nations. We pursue integrity together.

It’s time to wake up from our slumber. To put on the armor of light, which is to clothe ourselves with Christ. To choose sides, and begin to fight the spiritual battle for the sake of Christ’s name among the nations!

We get ourselves in trouble when we do not follow our King’s model of love. When we put too much trust in worldly politics and ways of coercion. How can we practically live in two worlds, under a worldly government, but subject to the kingdom of God?

We tend to reserve our flowers for the dead. Instead, we should be in the habit of giving our flowers to the living. Flowers of encouragement, hospitality, small & great loving actions as seen in our giving and demeanor. Loving so well we don’t even need to say the word for people to know they are loved. Following the example of Christ as he loved others to see the nations of the world know his grace & mercy in the cross, and his provision in the resurrection.
