In Christ we are made new, however, that is not an easy road. We must first learn how to die, since every resurrection is preceded by a death. Then we must learn how to rise, then finally how to fly. Join us in exploring what the Cross means to us once again on this Easter Sunday!

On this Palm Sunday, we were joined by frequent guest preacher, James Cordrey, who walked us through Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, in anticipation of all that was to come that Holy Week. He highlighted how Jesus' arrival in the city defied expectation (Where was the stump speech? The Jesus branded T-shirts?), but it was perfectly in line with who Jesus was and why he had come: to build his Kingdom. All they had to do, and all we have to do is "follow the King".

In this final message in Romans, we recap last weeks sermon well, and end on a reiteration of the fact that Paul’s been establishing Truth for the Church at large, and in Rome, in order that they may own it, and bring the true Gospel to all nations; all people groups for the glory of Christ!! God is not dead, His Truth reigns for all peoples!

False teaching, and throwing up walls to salvation - these are the problems and the things the Church has guarded against throughout history. It is not an easy task, how does the Church guard truth without throwing up more walls to salvation?

Building the church means we need materials. And God’s house is built with people. In Romans 16 Paul gives us a long list of names whom are the building blocks of the church at Rome and other places. People who had an affinity towards one another, and worked well together. People building while under tribulation, but working towards the hope of the future Cathedral of God, which is the Body of Christ to be built as seen in Revelation 5 & 7!

One of those being Priscilla, and in light of International Women’s Day, we remember some of the women of faith like her who’ve done great things for the kingdom of God!

Worship Is...

With Pastor Jason out of town, our 6:8 Worship Leader, Vinny Nicoletti shared a powerful message on what it means to worship honestly. He challenged us to approach God in worship daily and with vulnerability, even when we feel far from God's presence:

"I want to make an important point here…please listen to me. A heart of worship is not perfect…it’s honest. There’s nothing hidden. Your worship isn’t only authentic when you are on-fire for God.

Maybe your heart feels a longing for the passion that you had once with God. Maybe you are yearning for that passion again. That yearning, offered to God, is also worship.

Or maybe you are grieving that even the longing is gone, and you’re barely able to feel anything but sadness that your passion is gone. That grief and remorse, offered to God, is also worship."
