Leadership and Discipleship are Inseparable

If you think back just 9 weeks ago, we were kicking off an exciting new trimester with 6 Community Groups... and we haven't slowed down since then! We've been growing together in community; worshiping, studying, praying, and learning to share our lives together as we follow Christ. We've been out in the Ardmore/Havertown community being God's Kingdom people... and it is making a difference! We have so much to celebrate just from the past 9 weeks. We know God is at work in and through us and so we are thankful.

Responding to Hurricane Sandy

As we think about the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. We need to return to Jesus' words:

Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And [Jesus] said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Kids!

This week's systems blog examines our best-looking and most fun system yet--Kids! We are a family-friendly, kid-loving crowd here at Six:Eight. On Sunday mornings, it makes us so happy to see kids playing and laughing and mingling around with the adults. We have a hope and vision to grow our kids up with a knowledge and love for God and integrate them well with our large church body in the process.

Prayer System

For our sixth week of our systems blog series, we're taking a look at our Prayer System. Which is a system interwoven into every other area of our church, and rightly so because it all needs to be covered in prayer! The Prayer System encompasses a few gatherings and elements in and outside of our Sunday morning gathering time. So, keep reading. You may be surprised at just how many elements are involved here, and how many opportunities are available for you to participate in!

Worship Arts

Welcome to the fifth installment of our blog series exploring the systems that work behind the scenes at Six:Eight! This week we'll be looking in-depth at a system that is very tightly connected to the Impressions system - Worship Arts. Think of all that we experience together on Sunday mornings: singing, preaching, visual slides, communion, videos, lighting, announcements – all of these things and the people behind them are included in Worship Arts.
